Islamabad's CDA has designated specific zones for scrap dealing, primarily in the I-9 and I-10 industrial areas; sellers should direct material to these authorised locations rather than attempting roadside transactions that attract fines. Government agencies disposing of assets must follow PPRA disposal guidelines, and the resultant auction processes are accessible to registered dealers. For residential-construction scrap, coordinating with your contractor to retain ownership of demolition material—rather than allowing the contractor to take it as a perquisite—can recover a meaningful portion of renovation costs.
