Today's Scrap Rates in Gujrat

Gujrat, centrally located between Lahore and Islamabad, has built its industrial reputation on electric-fan manufacturing, ceramic sanitaryware, and furniture production—industries that collectively ensure a vibrant and specialised scrap market. The city's Fan Manufacturing Association represents hundreds of enterprises whose motor-stamping waste, winding offcuts, and reject assemblies feed dedicated recycling channels. Ceramic kilns contribute refractory and kiln-furniture scrap in addition to metallic waste.

Electric-motor stamping steel, a distinctive Gujrat commodity, trades at PKR 80–96/kg in pressed bundles. Copper winding wire from fan-motor production is the market's premium item at PKR 1,850–2,150/kg, while aluminium die-cast rotor scrap fetches PKR 430–510/kg. Furniture-industry offcuts—steel tube, angle, and sheet—sell at PKR 85–100/kg, and brass valve scrap from sanitaryware manufacturing adds a niche segment at PKR 1,200–1,400/kg.

Fan manufacturers should collect motor-stamping scrap in oil-free condition, as residual punching oil contaminates the material and attracts a deduction of PKR 3–5/kg at most yards. The Sara-e-Alamgir Road and GT Road intersections are where Gujrat's largest scrap-trading operations concentrate. Sellers generating consistent weekly volumes will find that pre-arranged collection agreements with these larger dealers eliminate the logistical burden of self-delivery and often lock in favourable rates.
