Why an authorised recycler (not a kabadi)?
- Legally compliant — general scrap dealers cannot process batteries or e-waste under CPCB rules. Authorised recyclers can.
- Data destruction — for laptops, servers, and IT assets, authorised recyclers issue a Certificate of Destruction. Kabadis don't.
- EPR compliance — if you're a business (offices, IT companies, e-commerce, retailers), your producer/importer requires disposal through an authorised recycler to meet EPR obligations.
- Higher value on bulk — for lots ≥50 kg, authorised recyclers often pay more than local kabadis because they extract clean copper, lithium, and rare-earth metals via industrial processes.

For general scrap (iron, copper, aluminium, paper, plastic) — those go to a local kabadi dealer near you. See our city directory for verified scrap dealers.
For end-of-life vehicles — those go to a Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF), not to an e-waste recycler.
